I really miss the ability to pick 1-2-3 similar photos from a shoot and compare them during my editing process to pick the beset one of the three.

Please bring that back to this version.

So hilarious you would think Adobe is listening, and even more hilarious you think Adobe would fix something that is obvious for human.

I'll give you an example: you can drag files into an album to import, but you can't when it's empty, but I'm sure such an amateur bug maker(s) is still getting a payroll every month from the Lr team.

Good luck for those asking a question here.

Hello,

I want to compare 2 images side by side in Lightroom CC. In Lightroom Classic this works with: Select images (X / Y) and then "C". In Lightroom CC, pressing the "C" key means CUTTING.

Please support how I can get pictures side by side in Lightroom CC 2, so that I can select the better picture and continue to process it, thank you very much.

Greetings Wolfgang

@andrelaubner I have never understood this option from Adobe. Why would I want 2 different Lightrooms? There's no way to interface between the 2. Do they really think I'm going to export a photo from one, edit it in the other, and then import it back? The main difference between the 2 shouldn't be features but should be storage. Lightroom CC is for families/hobbyists who have less than or around 1TB of photos and want it on the cloud. Lightroom Classic is for pros, those who have many TBs of photos, or those who want local storage. But a compare feature really doesn't seem like a PRO feature. Like I take a family photo, snap 5 or 6 versions to make sure everyone is smiling, and want to compare these photos. That seems like a logical feature for Lightroom CC.

If I understand your request correctly, what I do is rate them the same, or flag them, and then use the filter to have only those on my screen for comparison.

I switched from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom (or Lightroom CC) a few years back and I love everything about it except for the lack of a compare feature! I can't be the only one who takes a few photos of the same thing, making slight adjustments to focus or angle or exposure. And then in Lightroom I want to pull up both photos at the same time, compare, zoom, move around, and pick my favorite. Can that feature PLEASE be added?

Hey adobe

Do you know if Lightroom CC will ever get the compare option?
Lightroom CC currently only has the option for users to view a full-sized version of your original image. There is no way to view this as a side-by-side, top/bottom or split screen comparison.

I think this will never happen. Actually we all gave the answer why. It is the only thing holding us back from switching fully to CC. That means less money for Adobe. You get CC for 10 bucks, if you want classic you pay 20. So it will never come, cause it will cost them subscribers.
