P: Please add smart albums

I would love to be able to create smart albums (aka smart collections) in the all-new Lightroom CC. Basically, a folder that contains a set of photos based on metadata information and updates automatically. The feature set should ideally contain all the options that exist in Lightroom Classic for smart collections. Thanks!

    Its nice the status shows "released" but its not really released when there is no parity between the desktop app and the mobile app.

    On of the advangates of cloud storage is you can take it withou you and load on any device. If I cannot use smart albums on my iPad, there is no great advantage to cloud Lightroom.

      Fully agree. I'm not sure why there are so many differences between desktop and mobiles versions. I personally use LR CC mainly on the iPad

            I cannot find it on the iPad.

            I'm guessing this is a desktop only feature then?

              Nice feature!

               

              It took long enough, but it was released.

               

              We need the option and, or, and not. Users can create smart collections as available on the desktop version for many years.

              @Rikk Flohr: Photography  a huge thank you for this news and update !

              It looks very promising!

              We are now looking forward for the complete version to include:

              - rules with AND and OR. It only seems to work with "AND" for now, so use remains limited.

              - Dynamic Albums available & visible in the mobile iPad app.

                Updates for Adobe Photography products are released.   The October (Max)updates have implemented this feature request on Lightroom Desktop.  We will leave this request open for Mobile devices and Web. 


                If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

                Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

                  I am using Lightroom on my PC and iPhone and iPad lots. I used key words and therefore use smart forders. This is brilliant but don't work in the iPhone or iPad app.
