P: Plugin support for Lightroom

I'd like to see LR Classic-like plugin support for things such as https://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies or https://www.negativelabpro.com/

Primarily on Desktop, but if you can do it on Mobile and Web somehow, more power to ya.

I know this past thread was marked as solved:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-ideas/p-3rd-party-plugin-support-for-lightroom-desktop/idi-p/12355007 but it was really only for the round trip feature of editing raw files.

Searching on  here is difficult so if an existing request exists, my apologies.

Hi Deacon,

I hope this email finds you well. Based on our findings, I am afraid to inform you that in LR (Lightroom) plugin this is not possible (only LrC plugin supports masking workspace adjustments).

I hope this helps.

For future reference, your ticket number for this issue is 15708498 and you can reference it should you have any further questions regarding this case.

Best regards,

I have separated them again, because there is indeed a difference (although many 'plugins' are really stand-alone apps that are simply called from Lightroom by a kind of script).

why was this remerged with the other request? It seems clear they are two different things?  The pinned response of "this has been implemented" feels misleading.

100% - We've been waiting for plugin support for years, and by that we didn't mean round-trip editing to another app! Still looking forward to this.
