A unbloated AI limited Photoshop!

There was a point where the program was becoming great at removing objects, blemishes and other distractions all within the program itself. Then AI came along and Adobe developers have seemingly just become lazy and letting AI take the wheel.

My system just for clarity on how bad it is: MacBook Pro M5 Pro with 48gigs (a near top tier device)

Now files become massive and slow. Background processes from GPU to network connections take a job that should take 10 minutes to infinite rotating loading bubbles and twice as long. And now with the lastest update, we have AI Assist that just takes you to Firefly!

Why not make a copy for actual professionals that don’t need this massive AI bloated program and another for the kids and Firefly AI bloat. If anything that would increase your $19 billion in revenue...but it also might mean you have to hire actual coders.

I’m no more a fan of AI than you are, I also wish there was a way to turn the whole thing off with the flip of a switch.

But to be fair, generative AI is not bloat. It’s not processed by your machine at all - it’s sent to Adobe’s servers and the finished result returned. If something is slow, that’s not the reason.
