Ability to Pin Files to PS Start Menu?

I have a file that I work on as an ongoing project and I would like to be able to pin it to the PS start page and there is no ability to so. Now I realize I can just open the folder to get to the project but I want to be able to pin the project to remind me to finish it (i.e. so I can't use excuse "out of sight, out of mind"). Extremely low end suggestion and figure it doesn't hurt to put it out there.

This might help: DocManager can save your currently open documents as a named session and reopen the whole set later in one step.

A quick workaround is to open the .PSD file from you're file explorer (windows) and open the file in Photoshop.

Pin you're Photoshop program on the taskbar. Now in you're Photoshop icon on the taskbar you can pin the file you want tot lock, like:

  • right mouse click on the photoshop icon in you're taskbar,
  • search the most recent file you want to pin
  • click on the pin icon.
  • you're file is always on top of the recent file list when you click the Photoshop icon

Next time you go to you're Photoshop taskbar icon, the pinned file is on top of the pile.

Good luck.

Ps. Adobe: if you read this, please make an update for Photoshop so we all can pin files in the recent files on the home screen of Photoshop

Photoshop has recently opened files in the Home Screen or File menu.

Otherwise an action or script could be used with the Script Events Manager to automatically open the file whenever Photoshop starts, or when you open or save other files.

@MigdaliaNJ

Microsoft applications have Recents and Pinned files and I have a couple of pinned files in Word and Excel that I need to get back to. I've just upvoted your idea.
