Arrows need a whole new workover on photoshop

There needs to be a way to match arrows to create new ones in photoshop.

You should be able to drag an arrow to make it longer without it scaling the size of the arrow head.  Like it does in Clipping tool.

You should be able to edit an arrow to change the arrow head size once it is created.

You should be able to copy an arrows parameters to create new arrows, including arrow head size, weight, color, stroke etc.

You need to be specific about which arrow you are referring to.  If you are using Shapes, then do as previously advised and use the Direct Selection tool, and drag a window around just the rearmost points.

Those points will become solid, and you’ll be able to drag to change the length without affecting the arrowhead.

It works exactly the same way with the line tool when it is set to produce arrowheads

Use the Direct Selection tool again, and make just the line end points active and drag.

Note: Holding down shift will keep the line either perpendicular to the window, or at 45°.

Thanks, this is the only work around I have found since this tool came out. Not great as you have to adjust the opposite end from the one you are working on. Can’t remember when it came out but it has been more than a decade.  There is no use case for the tool working this way to scale the arrow with length as it is clearly a bug that Adobe never addressed.

You can do that if you choose Shape or Path, and use the Direct Selection tool (the white arrow).
