cloud based apps

As Adobe moves toward cloud-based apps, there will be many of us left in the dust.  In my little valley, there is no cable, there is no television, landlines work only a few hours a day, and we usually have to go outside and walk up the hill for cell service.  I really am not kidding.  For people like us, would it be possible to have pared-down app that resides in our machines?  I am thinking about generative fill.  It is a wonderful tool, and I enjoyed playing with it.  But now I can barely use it.  My net connectivity isn't good enough.  If you could still provide us the old, crummy version, life would be a little more fun.

until a couple of weeks ago i was able to process images with generative fill. the images were low resolution where they were filled in, but were usable and interesting. now it does not work at all. nothing else has changed.

Generative fill is processed online on Adobe's servers, not on your machine, so you need to be permanently connected for that in any case. It uses the Adobe Stock library.

Other than that, you only need to be online once every 30 days to validate the subscription. Then it works disconnected for the next 30 days.

There is Photoshop Elements which still has a perpetual license.
