Consistency of tools across Adobe universe

I just want to vent some.
How come the transform tools in Photoshop aren't like the ones in Illustrator. I have to zoom way out to rotate so I can't see what I'm doing. I can't drag a box to zoom. The rules for holding shift while zooming are different than every other program on earth.
The transform tools in Illustrator are superior in every way.

I've been using Phototshop and Illustrator since version one. Isn't it about time the tools became consistent across the whole Adobe universe. I can understand if something is bitmap or vector dependant but this isn't usually the case.
By the way....tried the feadback form. Not working.

Thanks

When Illustrator changed their zero point from the bottom left to the upper left, you could hear the screams for thousands of miles!

Adobe recently changed ONE feature to match Illustrator (use of Shift to contrain proportions). This caused outrage from people who have 20 years of muscle memory in Photoshop. Be careful what you wish for... after all, Adobe could just as easily randomly decide to change Illustrator without warning to match Photoshop...

The feedback forum merged with this one in August 2021. In this forum you can tag a post as "Discussions", "Ideas", or "Bugs". You are in the right place and have correctly tagged your post as an "Idea" so the Photoshop developers will see it. 😊.

See this post for details:

Both applications have a Link button to control whether the width and height are proportional or not when scaling. In Photoshop you'll see it after you hit Cmd+T for Edit > Free Transform. In Illustrator you'll see it in many places, including the Control and Transform panels.

Be sure to click the Upvote button in the upper right. As of right now it has zero upvotes.

No offense but that excuse might have worked for me five or ten years ago....I think there's been sufficient time now.

One being vector and one being raster may be why the transform tool is different, just like its different in InDesign. I completely understand the desire to want the tools to act the same across the board, believe me, I'd love to see that.
