Ctrl/Cmd/Shift/Alt preset hotkeys/tool remapping
Hi, I just started studying Digital Art. I was already pretty experimented with Krita, Autocad and Sketchup before trying out Photoshop. I thought my experience would transfer easily to the "industry standard software", but it didn't. Not because of a lack of skills, but because of a lack of feature customizations. I've been searching online for answers and they all left me empty handed. I've seen posts as old as 8 years old on the topic and yet, nothing has changed.
So my request is to implement a feature enabling the remapping of Ctrl/Cmd/Shift/Alt's shortcut presets. Also, a feature enabling the remaping of Ctrl/Cmd/Shift/Alt combination for Tools.
I still can't believe people are able to effectiently and rapidly work with this tool in its current state. These keys are essential for efficiency and work flow, so having them locked to specific shortcuts doesn't make any sense to me.
Here's one of many exemples where it causes an issue: You are working with the Brush in Zoom-In mode, you make a bad line, you hit Ctrl-Z to Undo quickly, Ctrl is released slightly after the Z but just before another Brush stroke, your Layer moves or changes but you don't notice it since you are Zoom-In, you continue working, when you are done you go back to 100% View mode, you see that your Layer moved or changed but you are now caught in a situation where there was too many actions before you noticed so you cannot retrieve the action in your History to remedy the situation.
Personally, this is the first time I use a software that doesn't allow remaping such primitive keys. Every other softwares that I used in my life mostly kept the integrity of the keyboard basic functions, or at least gave the option to modify their behaviours. Therefore, I cannot see myself purchasing this product for now with such limitations, especially when there's other free softwares with better user-friendly features. Best regards.
