Editing path look and color impossible with Show Target Path

Hi,

I can't edit my paths with Show Target Path overlay. It obstructs the color and look of the path. I don't need to see this when I change the style or color of the path. Could you fix this? I makes edinging paths unsusable. Temporaly turning this overlay of and on is not a solution. Make it like in Illustrator wher it is barely visible or get rid of it, please.
