Guides and grid settings saved into PSD file?

For years I have wished to be able to save the guides & grids settings into psd file.
I work with different sized grids in different files, so I have to manually write down grid size and go to settings each time I switch files.
Also the grid settings could be available in seaparate window always for quick edit. Going into preferences is pain. Grid size should be document based, not general photoshop settings.
