Ideas to Discontinue the Discrimination of Boudoir Photographers by Adobe Products

I understand why there is a necessity to provide boundaries on generative ai tools as it pertains to potentially exploitative imagery. However, as someone who is both an artist and has loyally used Adobe products for my entire career - I’m really frustrated with the censorship on images that are genuinely not even close to an actual guideline violation. Being able to utilize the tools I’m paying for in my subscription should not be too big of an ask. The types of imagery I get denials on are so far from being indecent that it’s honestly insulting - I’m talking images of women in one piece bathing suits and from the front view. Is there genuinely no alternative to supporting your Boudoir Photographer customers using your platforms? What prevents Adobe from a solution that protects itself AND supports it’s Boudoir photographer customers by vetting the legitimate Businesses who are established? If there’s something surrounding this I’m not understanding fully, I’m more than willing to be informed/educated on why this isn’t a feasible option. It would just be so incredible to have consistent access to tools I pay for in my subscriptions without playing the “community guidelines” game.

Since you’ve been using Adobe products for your entire career, you can continue to work with the traditional skills you’ve developed over the years.

@jane-e I obviously can do that, and wouldn’t ever fully eliminate the traditional editing and tools/techniques I’ve learned and needed. I don’t think that addresses my frustration though with potentially having a tool that can significantly speed up the process but being blocked from using it because it’s being deemed as inappropriate or violating guidelines. Boudoir photographers are regularly being censored on other platforms, I would least expect a platform that is meant to empower artists and understand the nature of art and the human body to participate in doing so. I’m not just a photographer, I’m a small business owner, a mother and many other things. Anything that can help me continue to make art and speed up the editing process is top priority for me. Maybe I didn’t make my frustration specific enough in my original post for you.

From what I can glean, Adobe is unlikely to change this, and as a volunteer who does not work for Adobe, I can appreciate your thoughts but have no influence. It’s not me that you are trying to convince. Adobe is not stopping you from your art; they are only stopping you from using generative AI on their servers. They will read your post, even if they don’t respond.

I too hope for an equitable solution because what you describe reads as extremely frustrating.
