Let us rename the RAW file in the smart object, that's it!I've spent hours chatting with adobe agents on this subject with no result on what should be a relatively simple function. The smart object is not linked so I should be able to name it whatever I want without consequences to my work and/or workflow. thanks
Often, work involves a file with several artboards or more (like one job I had 100 artboards) and would be great to be able to right click on an artboard layer and select View Artboard and my screen goes to that artboard. Saves time zoom panning to find it. TY!
Hello Adobe Photoshop Team,I would like to report a regression affecting the Quick Mask and Generative Fill workflow used to create watercolour, oil-painting and other generative art effects.Adobe previously demonstrated this workflow using Quick Mask to create an intensity-based selection, followed by Generative Fill through the Contextual Task Bar:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4THG0IPx9hchttps://www.adobe.com/learn/photoshop/web/create-art-styles-generative-fillWorkflow that previously workedOpen an image in Photoshop. Enter Quick Mask Mode. Fill the mask with a controlled percentage of grey to determine the strength of the generative transformation. Exit Quick Mask Mode to convert the mask into a selection. Use Generative Fill from the Contextual Task Bar. Enter a prompt such as “watercolour painting” or “oil painting.”This produced highly useful painterly interpretations while retaining the composition and visual structure of the original image.Current problemIn newer Photoshop u
Please can we have a colour picker in the neural filtre that adds colour to a black and white (technically grey scale) image. It would make the whole process a lot easier if we could choose a very specific colour to add manually to a section of a photograph, if the neural filtre doesn’t quite achieve the desired result by itself.
Add 9-Slice Scaling to Photoshop CS6. This would be hugely beneficial, especially with the advancements made with the shape tools.
what if you could save as .ico and .icl and .cur file with photoshop with advanced option like saving for web..... and have posiblity to save several version 32 bit 48x48.... and better brush and pattern gradiant manager
I frequently use the Remove Tool to make multiple selections across an image. Currently, when the tool encounters a processing or rendering error, the Photoshop engine performs a total rollback. As a result, the pink overlay selection completely disappears, forcing me to start the entire selection process from scratch. While processing errors can happen due to hardware or memory spikes, losing the selection work is incredibly frustrating and hurts the workflow efficiency. My request: Please update the Remove Tool's behavior so that if a processing error occurs, the pink overlay/mask remains on the screen instead of being wiped out. This would allow users to simply modify their selection or try processing it again without losing their progress.
Hi Adobe Team,I am writing to express my strong frustration regarding the latest Adobe Camera Raw updates (v18.4 / v18.4.1). [1, 2]With the latest update, the automatic limitation feature for mass automation/batch processing was completely removed or broken. Because of this regression, I was forced to manually limit and process hundreds of images individually, which completely ruined my high-volume workflow and cost me hours of manual labor. [1]Due to this severe limitation, I had to uninstall the latest version and downgrade back to version 18.3.2 just to keep my daily business running. Batch automation is a core requirement for professional photographers, and removing or breaking this automation constraint makes the plugin unusable for mass editing. [1, 2]Please treat this as a critical bug or regression and restore the automatic limitation for batch workflows in the next patch.System Environment:Previous Working Version: v18.3.2 Broken Version: v18.4 / v18.4.1 Windows 11 Thank you,
Add right-click or Transform options bar commands such as:Fit to Canvas — scale proportionally to fit within canvas bounds Fill Canvas — scale proportionally to fully cover the canvas Stretch to Canvas — scale non-proportionally to exactly match canvas width & heightThis would be a huge time-saver for compositing, mockups, and batch workflows.Currently, Free Transform (Ctrl+T) treats the layer's own size as 100%, so there's no quick way to scale it to the canvas. We have to manually calculate percentages or type in the canvas dimensions in pixels. Premiere Pro already offers convenient Scale to Frame Size / Set to Frame Size commands — Photoshop needs the same!
The latest version of Photoshop has made Actions significantly less useful. You can no longer go into the individual recorded steps and make changes to them after the Action has been created. Why would Adobe remove or break such a basic part of the Actions workflow? The whole point of Actions is that you can record a process, then adjust specific steps without having to delete everything and record the entire Action again. This update has made Actions more rigid, slower to work with, and much more frustrating for anyone processing large batches of files. Please restore the ability to open, edit, and modify individual Action steps.
I think the title says it all, it’s incredibly silly that clicking the mouse wheel does nothing.I also clicked the “edit” on the title when writing this and it erased the couple of paragraphs I wrote about how functionally useful it would be. Maybe fix that too 👍
Hi Adobe Photoshop Team,I am writing to request a feature update to the Hue/Saturation adjustment layer panel. Please add a dedicated Orange option to the master dropdown menu, matching the functionality found in Lightroom’s Color Mixer and Camera Raw.Currently, Photoshop users must manually adjust the sliders for Reds or Yellows to target orange tones. This is a common bottleneck for skin tones, autumn landscapes, and sunset photography.Proposed Implementation:Add "Oranges" to the Hue/Saturation dropdown menu (Master, Reds, Yellows, Greens, Cyans, Blues, Magentas). Set the default color picker range for the Orange channel to sit precisely between Red and Yellow. This small integration would bridge a major workflow gap between Lightroom and Photoshop, creating a more unified and efficient editing experience across the Creative Cloud.Thank you for your time and continuous improvements to the software.Best regards,Ike Veneris
As long as I’ve been using Photoshop (since Version 4), I have struggled with finding the cursor on light areas of an image. Since upgrading to a 4K display, the cursor has become, for all intents and purposes, essentially invisible when editing a white or light gray area on a UHD screen. The limited setting choices in Preferences/Cursor are of no use. Windows has had the ability since 3.1 to set the cursor size and shape, including inversing the arrow to black over a white background and white over a dark or black area of the screen. It’s nearly impossible to even select an area of the image with the rectangle or round tools as the cursor just disappears in the light background. I’m trying to edit an image with large areas of gray and white in order to smooth them out by selecting and copying decent areas of the image, but here I am, at 3:59 a.m. cursing the cursor out loud. Just so you know what I’m experiencing, I double dare you to find the cursor in this screenshot from my system:
It would be nice to have some better tool to change Grid settings easily (any extra panel, section in Options panel etc.), not just in Preferencies.
Currently, in Photoshop, the only way to clean up the "Recents" home screen is to clear the entire recent files history (File > Open Recent > Clear Recent File List). There is no way to target and remove just one specific file from the list. The Feature Idea: I would like to request the ability to remove individual files from the "Recent" list (whether they are stored locally or in the Creative Cloud) without actually deleting the physical file from the disk or cloud storage. How it could work: Simply add a small "X" icon (or a "Remove from Recents" option in a right-click context menu) on the corner of each file thumbnail/list item on the Home screen. Clicking it would immediately hide that specific file from the active Recents list. Why this is important: * Privacy: If we are working on a confidential project or presenting our screen to a client, we might want to hide a specific project from the home screen without losing our entire search history or other active projects. Workspa
Thanks to the new text panel design (!) that is disgusting (sorry, no offence intended). I find it to be resource-intensive, particularly on my Windows 11 24H1 system with an i7 CPU. Whenever I select a text layer and hover over the fonts list, it consumes huge resources of my system. I would like to request a toggle option to disable the live preview of the fonts (this option is nonsense for me).
Posted on behalf of @OWLTAR to the Photoshop forum when his multiple attempts were unsuccessful. OWLTAR Element Button when using object selection toolI would like to be able to create elements when using the object selection tool and be able to add it to my library. When the mouse hovers over an object it highlights it and you can select it. At that point I would like an option to click an element button and have it add that object as an element to my library. If i could do this across all app that would be great.Thank you.TAR
I understand that rationale (more or less) of removing the 3D features in Photoshop and making them their own set of applications. But being able to view and edit a 360 degree photo in Photoshop is BARELY a 3D tool. In point of fact, everything needed to manipulate and view that image can be done using standard mathematics, and neither Open GL nor Direct X need be involved. No one will be buying Substance to work on spherical maps. And Photoshop is the perfect place to work on spherical maps for use elsewhere, including the Substance suite. Please give us an ability to work on spherical maps in Photoshop, where it makes sense.
Make a MAC OS preference to disable Photoshop from automatically becoming the active application when a document opens. I would like to have Photoshop open documents and run automations/scripts in the background while I work in a different application like the web browser. Currently each time a document opens it brings Photoshop to the foreground as the active application. This makes it difficult to multi-task, especially if running a batch automation. It makes it impossible to do anything else besides letting Photoshop run it’s course and take over the machine. I would love to be able to hide the Photoshop application while it runs in the background.
Hello Adobe Team, I hope you are doing well.I am writing to request an important feature that would significantly improve the workflow between Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Currently, when text with Graphic Styles / Appearance effects is copied from Illustrator into Photoshop, the text can only remain fully intact if imported as a Smart Object. However, Smart Objects prevent the text from being editable directly inside Photoshop, since double-clicking opens the file back in Illustrator. In many real-world workflows, especially in graphic design and social media production, we need: The ability to transfer Illustrator text—along with its applied styles—into Photoshop while keeping it as an editable Photoshop text layer. More specifically, it would be extremely helpful if Photoshop could directly interpret: Multiple strokes (similar to Illustrator’s Appearance panel) Layered fills More complex text appearances Automatic conversion of Illustrator Graphic Styles into Photo
How do I draw a straight line using the Photoshop app on an iPad Pro with an Apple stylus? thanks? Randy [Moving from generic Start/Help forum to the specific Program forum... Mod][To find a forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/]
Please add auto-align and focus-stacking to PS iPad, because the iPads nowadays are strong enough for this feature! And we’re paying for Photoshop, so we’re expecting the full version of Photoshop, even for our iPads! Don’t be lame and add these features to Photoshop for iPads, thankyou.
Hi, I am urgently reporting a very inconvenient issue with Photoshop’s current brush size-saving system, and I’m asking for a fix.I love Photoshop and want to continue using it, but the lack of a per-brush size memory feature makes it very stressful to work with. Other art programs such as Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, Krita, and Blender’s Grease Pencil already include this feature, which makes the workflow far more intuitive. Here’s what I need Photoshop to do:Each brush should remember its own last-used size independently, rather than all brushes sharing one size. The current problem:If I use Brush A at size 20, then switch to Brush B at size 5, returning to Brush A resets its size—it doesn’t remember I last used it at 20. Even with the "Capture Brush Size in Preset" option unchecked, all brushes just share the most recent size. This makes it impossible to keep track of the sizes I set for different brushes. Why presets don’t solve this:Of course, I could save new brush presets for each
Just like in Procreate.Draw a shape and hold your pen at the end of the stroke to create a perfect Circle, Oval, Square, or Line using your existing brush and stroke pressure.I have read lots of posts asking for this in the community and the solution offered was to use the shape tool…. That’s not a solution that’s a problem.I want to snap to shapes and lines using my custom brush with my desired pressure. I couldn’t believe how much better I felt and could draw using procreate. This feature is more than a tiny one, this feature can absolutely make or break your growth and successes as a graphic designer. I talk with lots of friends who are illustrators who work for Nike, Pacsun, Under Armour, etc on a regular basis and there’s one thing they ALL have in common. Procreate. Procreate. Procreate. Not a single one of them uses photoshop, not one. Why should I?All of their responses are nearly identical. the auto shape features are one of the “very first” and “most essential” tools they use
