Label artboard in release document for review

Hello,
is it possible to label the release document in Photoshop with the caption of the respective artboards? This simplifies collaboration with external parties and the understanding of the respective artboard. Thank you very much for your feedback. Best regards

I hate scripting artboards, this is killing me, perhaps somebody else can create a 'simple' script to add a text layer named after each artboard outside of the artboards...

As this is posted under the "ideas" topic, it may one day be added as a new feature.

Until such a time, scripting would make the workaround easier. I'll see what I can put together.

Creating the gray area is definitely a possibility. But it would generally make sense to use a different background color by default instead of white.

Unfortunately, I'm not a developer, which is why I don't know how to script the solution mentioned. That's why I thought I'd post this feature request to the community in the hope that a basic solution will be found.

Ah, now I see what you are referring to, it's the missing label/display of the artboard names, as the review document just shows the entire canvas as is with all the artboards visible.

You can put a grey layer behind all the artboards.

A script could automate adding a text layer named after each artboard.

Ideally, I agree that this would be automatic without adding extra layers to the working image just to make the review image easier to work with.

The file name is not the problem, but the missing designation of the artboads within the review document. The approver cannot refer specifically to an artboard in their feedback. As a result, they also lack the context in which the subsequent medium is embedded. Below is a screenshot of how I imagine the labeling within the review document. In other words, in exactly the same way as in Photoshop.

So how would the shared file be named?

Is "kw24xx_cyberport-bannervorlage" (.psd) the current filename?

What I'm thinking is that a script could create a name based on the document name and artboard names, which would be sent to the clipboard. You could then paste this into the name in the review panel when sharing.

Hi Stephen,
below I am sending the screenshot of Photoshop with labeled artboards. The review link is https://assets.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:EU:6cfd9950-4ed9-4192-b425-b89a3c86b8ce?view=published. Unfortunately, no labels are displayed in this one.

I'll ask a moderator to clean it, can you  upload the screenshots?
