Liquify a layer mask - adjustment layers

Hello,

I very often have content on a layer that I liquify via filter and then I need to liquify the layermask afterwards, to get the same overlay. I do it by applying the last filter that was used. (ctrl+cmd+F). This way the mask gets liquified the same way as the actual pixles on the layer. This works perfect but I think not on masks of adjustment layers. The mask gets liquified but in a different shape. Is there a better way to do this or can this be integrated?
