need to be able to set "content aware fill" in the fill drop down on crop tool in PS Beta preference

I love the 24.7 Beta PS. I often use the crop tool to add "real estate" around my image and most often use the content aware fill option. The Fill dropdown has two options: default and content aware fill. Each time I open PS I need to set this to "content aware fill" because the default is "default" - which will just add blank spaces.

As long as I keep PS open my setting in the fill dropdown remains at content aware fill. But as soon as I close PS it reverts back to the default - default. 
I would to be able to set "content aware fill" in preferences so that I do not have to set this each time I open PS.
