New progress bars

The newly implemented progress bar for the Remove Tool (remove after each stroke)  in the new PS 25.11 is horrible. Everytime you drag over to remove something you get this invasive and distracting progress bar box on the top center of the screen. Before, there was a small, simple spinning circles progress and only if the removal was complex, it would show a progress bar box.

I suggest using the almost useless and usually empty top options bar for all progress bars for different tools so they are not on top of your image.

Final Cut Pro already has something like that in a circle but in Photoshop the options bar is usually empty so it can easily be used for displaying information out of the image's frame.

Also time for something new in the adjustment boxes... After 34 years the windows in Photoshop are pretty much the same. Nothing has really changed and not too much innovation on the GUI...

I suggest a floating transparent popup for certain things like snapseed for iPhone where you can choose adjustments from a popup and then the progress would be on the options bar as well without being on top of your image...

i added a couple of screen shots and a small video to illustrate.

I agree, this is a very annoying change and I have no idea why they added this, when the clone and heal tool don't even have this dialog box pop up.  I use the remove tool more than I use both clone/heal now, and for the dialog box to show up every time I click even a speck of pixels is very distracting.  So much so that I'm switched and am currently using the 2023 version of Photoshop (V24) which doesn't have this annoying dialog box pop-up for the remove tool.

Hi Ged, @Ged_Traynor  that is the progress bar I'm talking about. It shows everytime you use the remove tool and check remove after each stroke. My idea is to move it to the options bar, out of the way.

Cheers

@ppdix I'm not seeing the progress bar you're referring too, for me, it's the same as it was, Photoshop version 25.9.11 on Windows 11
