P: Bring back "Shake Reduction" filter - Removed in Photoshop v.23.3.0

Gordon

Okay! It works for me in version 23.3.2  by adding the 8bf file. Not on more recent versions. I'll stick with this one for now. 🙂

Thanks to all!

While it seems Adobe has removed it from the current versions, it's not
completely gone. Just follow the comments in this thread (latest) and you
will see that quite a few people are still using it with the latest
version. I am still using it with 23.4.1.

Just take the 8bf from an older version and drop it in the plugins folder.
If you don't know how to do it, just look at earlier posts.

One important note: If you get it to work make sure you post it here so
others can see it. Also, if the filter is important to you I would suggest
holding off on future (micro) updates to ensure they don't find a way to
exclusively block that filter. Wait until a (major) update.

Hope it works out for you.

Bring it back please!!! It was wonderful for the slight shake that often happens with macro photography! Please, please, please bring it back.

Yes, brought back in from an older version. All ready tried reinstalling it both in the original location and in a filters folder for nother filters. Neither working for me at this time. Photoshop also restatred just in case, still not a solution. Glad to hear it is working under 23.4.1 for someone. I will play with it more when I get a chance.

How were you making it work before? Did you paste in file from the older version? Try reinstalling it. Still working well for me. And, try resetting your preferences. Screws up all the time for me.

Just tried running the Shake Reduction filter (added back in) on Version 23.4.1 and now getting a disc error. Looks like something else has been tweaked to keep it from working.

TX to this thread used Topaz AI clear-worked great. Then in PS copied head to new layer and applied High Pass. Worked wonderfully. Might have invest more in Topaz. Still love LR, but this panning shot had too much blur on head of Pelican. Topaz top /Orig bottom. Linda R

Meant to write developers are routinely removing useful tools and adding gimmicks and gadgets that have little use. Millenial programmers, out of touch with paying subscribers. That's what happens when you're the only show in town.
