P: Bring Effects from Photoshop Web to Photoshop as adjustments, or actions.

On photoshop.adobe.com, there is a Lens Distortion effect that includes a Chromatic Aberration setting. This effect behaves differently from Photoshop’s Iris Blur by subtly pulling and distorting the image toward the edges while applying blur, creating a more realistic lens effect.

In desktop Photoshop, Iris Blur currently does not include chromatic aberration or this type of lens distortion behavior. I would love to see these controls added to Photoshop, either as part of Iris Blur or as a standalone Lens Distortion filter.

Hey, @25720370. Thanks for writing this up. The Effects on the Photoshop Web are intended to give you a head start and, sometimes, combine a few tools from Photoshop to achieve the desired output in one effect.

I am sure there are more than a couple of ways to achieve this result in Photoshop. As a quick attempt, convert the subject layer to a Smart object, then go to Filter > Blur > Radial Blur and set the Blur method to Zoom. You can further refine it by moving the axis point in the square graph and using masks to isolate the subject better.

Lens Distortions & chromatic aberration (Defringe) are also available in the Camera Raw Filter under Optics.

I hope this helps. Thanks!

Hello, @20309045 I agree on you when it comes to creating the same effect using few different methods but the main idea here is to combine them into one just like how we used to create grain using effects > grain or inside camera raw but now we can apply it as an adjustment layer so it is effortless. So this was a feature request at first I don't understand why you moved it into discussions section
