P: How about a "Close all except this" feature?

Sure, this can be scripted, however I think it would be a nice (and logical) addition to the tab context menu. There should be a menu point „Close other tabs“ just like in many browsers and text editors. It would just make sense.

There ya go. Esoteric requests like this are readily solved by scripting.

This could be scripted (and that Script used for example via Keyboard Shortcut or from a Configurator Panel).
Probably would be best to make two versions – on that saves changes in the other files and one that won’t.
