Adobe, could you please create ONE application instead of: Photoshop, Illustrator and inDesign? Or at least Photoshop and Illustrator. Thank you!

I believe this can work, but it would need to launch different engines at the same time to have sections. Use a tab for creating using bitmap information (Photoshop) and then switching to different tab for true vector information(Illustrator), then a separate layouting tab (InDesign)

Look at Lightroom and LightroomCC. Both are a mess, neither has good integration with the rest of the suite, and they are proof that Adobe needs to leave well enough alone. They SHOULD have just added the cloud features to Lightroom instead of creating a new program.

And if you were here when they bought Pagemaker and then killed it for InDesign, you'll remember the struggles to start over.

On top of all that, CC eats RAM just running Photoshop and Bridge. The last thing we need is performance issues from a bunch of unneeded code.

I too would like to see some synergy between how PhotoShop and Illustrator work (cropping artwork, filling areas with colors, and making transparent backgrounds are very different processes in the two programs), but right now I'm going to knock off because you guys are making me hungry for cake, pie and bread carbs.

Mixing these will only bring complexity. I am sure users want to simplify things not the opposite.

It's still not quite nailing the analogy. A good cook can make a cake, pie, and bread using ONE kitchen instead of running back and forth between three.

well, Xara Designer Pro figurit out. It reunites Photo editing, Vector editing, Layout Editing, Web page creator into one single software. Hope Adobe will make such a tool also.

Adobe hasn't even figured out what the exact purpose of each of their major apps is yet and people ask for a unified one?

I know they should just make a newer product: One that has photoshop and illustrator tools in it. This way all will be happy. The ones who like it separate and the ones who want it together. They need to understand some people have different needs and workflows.

Hi, I understand they are different. But please understand that workflows often NEED the different functionalities of these. The slight inconsistencies between photoshop and illustrator breaks the creative flow completely. You actually need time to think and plan things....can just brainstorm and play with it as you wish. Doing would waste lots of time. As you are stuck in limited environment.

I don’t even know where to start with this. I’ve been saying this for years. I have so many ideas for consolidating half of the Creative Suite. Far too many to be bothered typing out. Here’s the main one though, a different paradigm; instead of “a vector app, a pixel app, and a layout app” we have one application (since there’s SO much crossover already), comprised of layer classes (so, a vector layer, a type layer, a pixel layer etc), but retaining the ability to embed documents within other documents.

Most [pro] designers use a combination of type, image (pixels) and vectors every day, and frankly I for one am tired of having to work and think around the limitations of seperate applications and their file types (“you can embed this file into that, but not this etc”, not to mention similar-but-slightly-different keyboard shortcuts etc). It’s beginning to feel unnecessarily inefficient and frankly annoying.
