P: Paste Unstyled Text

In Photoshop I would like to be able to paste “unstyled” text as an option. In OS X one can do this by holding Command-Option-Shift-V. The pasted text will then take on the default style as determined by the document, losing any specific formatting from its source. At present, if I want to paste the content of one styled field to another, Photoshop forces me to roundabout to an external editor, strip the styling there, then return to PS to paste. Life could be simpler.

That's fair, and I don't know what those features are, but I'd rather have this simple one that I would use every day over another new auto-magic feature for the novice users or the "Preference to select a highlight color in the UI".

That being said, thank you for your hard work.

Thanks, Jeffrey. Its only so frustrating that a simple and nowadays common feature like this takes now 5 years to consider 😕😕 I mean, come on guys.

Five years and its still not possible to copy unformatted text in MacOS. Shame on Adobe. I ́m since years CC customer and still hit this Problem every day. I ́ve to start textEdit on mac, paste it there and copy it again to paste it in photoshop. This is a shameful workaround. Please work on a solution adobe.

Thanks for your answer, dear David.

For me and a team of web designers layouting dozens of different ad formats copying and pasting text headlines from one format to another it would make a huge difference if could do that without the detour of copy/pasting/copy everything in the chrome adressbar to reset any type formatting.

Since this thread and wish is at least 4 years old, I would say it could be this features turn in the request cue ;)

Thanks a lot
Malte

This feature is under consideration for a future release.  As their is a nigh-infinite number of features to work on but a limited amount of time and people, we have to prioritize based on need and impact.  If this (or any other) change would make a big difference, please share your stories so we can use that information to help prioritize the work.

Thanks,
David

Hello Adobe, can you please tell us, if this feature will be implemented sometime? In the Photoshop CC 2015.5 Update it is sadly not.

It would help me a lot!
