Can we have search field in keyboard shortcuts dialog as in new Illustrator. It will be nice to quick find command and remind shortcut or to assign new, Photoshop have more and more commands, who is going to remember all shortcuts and commands, especially when using Creative Suite or Creative Cloud.

Hi @Trevor.Dennis

Thankyou for your feedback. The same field can be used for reverse shortcut search.

For example If one types a shortcut "W" in the field, the search results would show the commands name having the shortcut "W" associated with it followed by command name containing w in it. Also I would liek to suggest to use Match Case checkbox to get the exact search results (case-sensitive).

Thanks

Mayuri

Nice one @Mayuri Jain, although I see our @Bojan Živković11378569  started this thread twelve years ago!

What would also be useful is a sort of reverse shortcut search facility.  You might want to repurpose a shortcut, but you'd like to know a) is it already being used, and b) what it is used for.  Yes I know we get that information if we type a shortcut into a field, but I'd find a list useful.  I use defkey.com a fair bit.

Hi Everyone!!

We have implemented Keyboard shortcuts search field in Keyboard shortcuts dialog. This newly introduced functionality applies to both Keyboard Shortcuts and Menus, and is effective for Application Menus, Panel Menus, Tools and Taskspaces.

Please let us know any feedback you have here in this thread.

Thank you!

hi again !

since nothing has happened in 10 years, i've decided i'm gonna be very annoying about this . this will be my little online activism.

before Adobe gets inevitably swept away during the next decade by new companies that can move faster and in tune with their users  , i'll play my part to stir some change for the current time.

i need someone from Adobe's side to reply to this thread asap, and give us a plan for the implementation of this feature — surely there must be an intern somewhere at Adobe with 2 weeks ahead of them who can create a search bar for the Keyboard Shortcuts window.

Give us a log of the progress regularly.

Give us a release date.

In short, please cooperate with your users (:

happy new year everyone

Wow, can you say memory on steroids. That's a lot of shortcuts. I think I will print that one out. Lol

Good to know.👍

Adobe's attitude that leads to *not* implementing this, as well as long start-up times and all,

are why I do not believe Adobe products are worth $288 - $600 per YEAR (practically multiple thousands of dollars).

I am not subscribed to adobe. There are good alternatives for my workflows with much higher value.
