P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

This ‘small font size’ has been an ongoing issue now for several years – in Bridge and Photoshop. THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED IT.  ADOBE - Rich and careless.

How much squinting do I have to do? (Adobe llustrator font is perfect)

Btw. I also think it ́s ashaming for Adobe that they don ́t correct that error over years. Because a 200% feature is not really a solution.

As far as I know, Photoshop is one of the oldest software (from all Adobe programs) and so I think the programming of the sprites is also a bit of oldfashy bitmap kind.

I find that hard to believe. So the UI in Illustrator, In Design, After Effects and Premiere is all vector based but Photoshop is bitmaps ? Because all these other programs I mentioned have no problems when switching between HiDPI and regular display, they adapt, and they behave properly when swapping screens. Only Photoshop from my experience so far has only 2 set options and no realtime adaptiveness (need to restart the program)

Thats not true that AI developers did it. Photoshop is built up different to AI. AI is vector based, so resizing is easier than with pixel based photoshop. And yes, not only the pictures in AI are vector based, also the UI is it.

I really hope you will make it soon, because AI developers already did it as I said

You are absolutely right. But it will take some years till we get that thrilling feature!

Agree, it's inappropriate. And they don't have this problem in the Adobe Illustrator. We need at least 150% option for Photoshop!

Will there be any improvements to UI scaling in Photoshop Windows on CC 2015? I recently switched from Mac to PC and the HiDPI scaling in Photoshop on Windows is REALLY bad and not the same way it does on Mac!

the 100% and 200% options makes it impossible for me to switch between using my 1920X1080 cintiq and my 4K display - which is an important part of my workflow. I usually work on technical art on my main monitor and switch to the Wacom Cintiq when doing more creative art. But with the Windows version of Photoshop this is not possible. I tried setting the UI scaling to Auto, but that doesn't do anything at all, so I don't understand why that option is even there (?).  I even tried using the mirror display when working on my Cintiq, so that both monitors become 1920X1080, but photoshop doesn't adapt to that, which would to me seem like the sensible way for the "auto" option to work. If its impossible to make Auto/adaptive on windows, at least give us the option to scale to 150% and 125%.

On OSX with a 5K iMac this works flawlessly. When I move Photoshop from my 5K display to the Wacom Cintiq all the UI adapts instantly. And if I switch to mirror display Photoshop adapts to the lower resolution of the Wacom screen. But on windows you have only the option to choose one of the options (scaled or not). So that means either tiny icons on my 4K display or huge UI that goes outside of my screen on the Wacom tablet. Currently I'm stuck on ONLY working in Photoshop on my Wacom Cintiq, and my 4K display is useless to Photoshop.

I don't understand why this problem hasn't been addressed at Adobe??? If you check the Discussion forums, a huge amount of people are raging over this for more than a year and people have even started hacking Photoshop through the registry/regedit to have windows scale the Photoshop menu instead of using the HiDPI features. 4K on Windows are here to stay, so Adobe shouldn't just leave such an important feature halfway done.

Please help!!

Still not working correctly after all this time. Photoshop CS4 on my high resolution screen is unusable. Huge fail. I bought CS4 Master Collection for over $1000 and this is what I get? So disappointed in Adobe
