P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

I agree I don't know why Adobe is making this so supercalifragilistic complicated. My idea is that anything bigger than they have already somehow breaks the interface that they have painted themselves into.

OK, so edit>prefs>interface>ui text options>ui font size has small, medium, large as options; we're saying we need (based on the apparent visual differential between the small and large options) a super-gigantic-enormous++ option just so the top ribbon menu items approach the appearance of at least a 9pt printed font size on a 1080p screen. Then, just please add another interface adjustment section for the tool icons with options for small, medium, large, super-gigantic-enormous++ icons. If PS can't integrate with Windows UI adjustment tools, then figure out a way for PS etc to provide manually selectable UI font and icon sizes that address the simple, straightforward need so many have been expressing for so long -- larger (visually bigger) sizes for menu fonts and tool icons. Lastly, make the fixes backward compatible, say at least to CS5.

I did some experimenting with windows magnifier. I was able to create a docked magnifier window. I resized it so it was tall and skinny and placed it just to the right of the tools on the left side of the screen. I used the option to follow the text insertion point and turned off follow the mouse cursor. To see the enlarged tool box just move the mouse to the upper left corner where the PS is.

Unfortunately, we have no deadline for Microsoft fixing issues in Windows. And while the user request is old, many of the needed APIs in Windows have only become available recently (in Windows 8.1).

And we cannot fix this immediately because we are very much dependent on some parts of the OS working correctly. So we either have to work with the OS vendor, or completely change the way the UI works (which is far from a trivial task).

I am using Corel's software. Draw, and Paintshop Pro. Draw's Interface and path node size can be set to a very large size. Hope that helps.

We really don't care that it's been --repeatedly-- expressed here (and not yet fixed) that the team is working on it. We care that it's done. If I had tons of your software and hadn't paid you for it, would you accept "I'm working on it, I need my bank to manufacture money just for me so I can pay you." after three years? And expect you to be just okay with that? This should have been handled ages ago. ALL my other programs are readable and usable on my computer except Adobe's software. You don't need the OS to do anything different for you. The the other programs didn't need Microsoft to change their own code in order for me to work in them. Why do you? Fix it now with what you have. Please.

Do I have to replace/update the "versions" number ?
my PS CC version is 14.2.1.570 not 11.0.0.0
VCRT90 is 9.00.30729.1 and not 9.0.21022.8..
or it don't mind ?

Hi,
I don't know if I make something wrong, but I can't make this fix running on my system (win7 64 with a 4K display)
It don't change anything for AI (64 or 32bit) nor in PS (32bit).
The only response from the system with the fix activated, is that the Photoshop.exe can't be found...
with the registry key removed, Photoshop starts normally.
Did I miss something ?

Thanks

This issue is at least 3 years old.
Do you have a deadline for the solution?
With no real deadline problems are rarely solved.
