When I open a PSD and there are some missing fonts, why not tell me what those fonts are, sort of like Flash does: http://cl.ly/1w1x2V350V341a0Z2p2g

P.S. Go F yourself. I work my butt off everyday and make minimum wage, and you sit int your comfy Silicon Valley job making more for less effort.

Fix the font issue.

Then wait in pristine silence as you read the complaint message I don't send.

You know full & well that PS will not identify the proper font you need to replace it with. You also know full & well that we did not create said file, having received it from a 3rd party.

Just tell us what font we're missing and we'll go on our merry way finding & buying said font.

It is not too much to ask. Google would do it. Why are you being a lazy, comfortable-in-your-job-Adobe lazy worker?

There are hundreds of developers at Adobe. Surely one of those MF'ers must actually do a real job and develop websites for real clients. No? If not, fire the CEO. We are real clients, that receive real PS files, that receive real PS warnings of a lack of a font.

If you tell us what font we are missing (by name, not just "Bold") we will go out and find it, and buy it, and not send you pissed off messages.

Or you can continue to suck and wait until Adobe matters not. Google cares. Samsung cares. Does Adobe still care? It appears not so.

Your choice DipSh!t. Choose wisely. (and yes singular. You are the person reading this, and you are singular. Make a difference).

You are not missing anything. Adobe development team is missing brains.

In the past, whenever I opened a .PSD file which had missing fonts (usually when working on different computers) it would warn me about this and the option to substitute such font.

Ever since I upgraded to CS6, I haven't been able to tell the name of such missing fonts. It won't display the name anymore. Am I missing something?

I am using Windows 8

"Under Consideration" means we are looking into this issue. We cannot comment on any features under development.

So can this be added in as a feature please?

The latter is much better. Having to go through a large PSD is a huge pain in the arse. I never usually have anything nice to say about Flash but one good thing it does is tell me what fonts are missing from the FLA as I launch it.

If you look in your layers panel, any type layer that needs updating will have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point symbol in the lower right corner. If the Type tool is active and this layer is selected, then in the Options Bar and in the Character panel, any missing fonts will display as "[name of missing font]".

Now, that said, it might be possible to pop a dialog when you initially open the file with a list of all missing fonts in the document, although this might have other repercussions.
