I'm a bit confused by the responses. Is everyone happy with dragging all the files in at once, placing as linked, or would they rather have a Place Gun like InDesign has (and which I'd like)? I'm okay with them stacked on top of each other, but it's far less elegant than being allowed to place them where one wants, one at a time from a place gun, or decided not to place one (skipping it), or rearranging the order in which they get placed.

Jeff, can you please ask the Bridge team to make visible a Place As Linked option? Right now, the only way to go from Br to Ps as linked is through a hidden kbsc. I've been asking for years and they don't seem to understand why this is needed.

The trick is useful but it would still be nice for this to also work via File>Place Linked.

Try the following...

Drag the files from the finder to the photoshop document while holding down the 'alt'-key.
Seems to works fine.
