is it possible to have the annotation tool like in adobe Acrobate?
Adding a maker or a pen for quick drawing.
And the possibility to make them visible or hide in the panel annotation.
all these to take quick annotation on the fly when getting debrief behind screen...

here is what I mean =
A new panel for the annotation : "SCRAWL".
Its a tool like in acrobat ,where you can draw quickly annotation.
All this without making a artlayer in the layer panel.
It draws allover artboards and outside of it too.
In the panel there is the pen, the eraser, some color (maybe a color picker too) and a size ajuster.
It can be show or hide. An improve I also put on the normal annotation panel ( the one with text).

You are another user that say you can not read AR annotations in Photshop. I just tested it in C6 EXTENDED and CC 2018 and everything works well. I could create a note in AR, save document, then open in Photoshop and be able to do everything I can normally do with notes in Ps CS/CC.

I could even access their content by scripting (check other post here), and change / use it.

I wrote 2 scripts for some Adobe Photoshop users.

1st uses a note to store info how many times a file was processed and its current system path:

2nd alerts annotation's coordinates in document:

Reading information of annotations other way than live interaction, so by scripts is not supported by Photoshop. I had to do it reading file binaries. This way both scripts do things that normally are not accessible in Ps scripting. They may be for you useless as are created for certain users needs.

Photoshop annotation is kind of tool you have in Acrobat Reader, but for some reason you say you don't have them in Ps. Well they are there and you can read by Ps notes created in Acrobat Reader, then edit them or show / hide.

Howdy Phil,

I added this to the feature request as well.

Thanks,
David

Howdy Florent,

This is great detail.  Understanding the user workflow and capturing the pain points helps prioritize this feature against the many others we get.  The better picture we can paint, the more likely the feature will be added.  I'll enter a feature request and if you have further clarifications, such as an image, please post it here.

Thanks,
David

i am using multiple artboard in a single document (some time more than 20), for declination. In your way, this mean a artlayer for each artboard; too much action (select artboard, creating a layer, getting in on top of the liste, and then do it again for the next artboard and in the same time getting the debriefing live). this action needs to be quick and in the same layer by default on top of every artlayer and artboard. Quick annotation and drawing.  Am I more clear? (if not I would make an image, sometimes it work better like this)

We would request that annotation objects be able to read as text in both photoshop and acrobat. Currently annotations created in acrobat are not supported in photoshop.

Howdy Florent,

You're looking for drawing capabilities in addition to the text capabilities of the Notes tool (found under the Eyedropper, SHIFT+i a couple times)?  Wouldn't it be easier to just add a blank artlayer to Photoshop and draw on that?

Trying to understand,
David
