Photoshop 'Place linked'........Script or option to import Illustrator LAYERED files
'place linked....' in Photoshop offers a seamless and non-destructive way to work with imagery between Illustrator (vector) and Photoshop (raster), but there is a downside......Illustrator layers need to be separated into individual artboards, which is time consuming (to both separate into artboards in Illustrator and to import individually in Photoshop).
It would be great if 'place linked...' in Photoshop could be automated to import each Illustrator layer (rather than artboard) where your Illustrator layers would then appear in photoshop as matched and linked(updatebable) smart layers.
There are many ways to currently bring Illustrator files into Photoshop (copy-paste, copy-paste as smart objects, export PSD from Illustrator) but all of them have downsides (like ignoring original Illustrator artboard size and placement, or the Illustrator PSD export method which has MANY unsupported-element downsides/inconsistencies).
'place linked....' has the individual artboard extra-steps downside mentioned above but at least remembers artboard alignment.
The Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher products offer a quick and unique way to seamlssly work between vector, raster and layout with a single button click.
This feature request would go a long way to matching the unique, time saving and modern, non-destructive Affinity workflow.
