Please make Match Color work with Smart Objects

Can you add the ability to use the Match Color function with Smart Objects? Currently I have to rasterize a layer just to use the Match Color option.

There is a much bigger picture here.The request is really "make it possible to alter pixel values in smart objects". Whether that's at all possible I don't know. Currently it isn't; you can't paint, you can't clone, etc.
