Preference Option for Polygonal Lasso that disables auto close/double click close

 I use a stylus, I know there are other options like pen tool and holding alt down while using the lasso tool. the poly tool is my mental default while i'm working. often, i'm clicking away in rapid succession with the polygonal lasso tool and suddenly it will auto close. this will ruin/set back many minutes of very tedious work, it's beyond frustrating. if there was a preference that would allow you to disable double click close, and allow you to close your selections with return/enter that would be a huge relief. it's such a constant pain point for me and many of my colleagues.
