Previews for Edit> Stroke and Edit> Fill

I submitted this feature request about 20 years ago, so it seems like a good time to try again.

Can we get preview for the Stroke and Fill commands? And with Stroke, how about a warning message if the Outside or Center option is selected and the stroke (or part thereof) will fall outside the current canvas?

If we want to go whole-hog on Stroke, what about making it a Shape tool/.command? Perhaps with the option of what corners to use with Outside and Center when creating polygon strokes?
