Rearrange Single Adjustments Manually

On the single adjustments panel, I’d like to keep my most used tools at the top in the order I’ve used them for years.

With the updates I understand putting new features at the top. It kills my flow though and I have to relearn where the tools are. Would like to keep things the way they were for years.

please bring this feature back.

How do you have your panel set?

One problem is that new Adjustment layers were introduced, which was bound to make the panel look different.

About 12 years ago Michael Ninness ran a Photoshop Power Shortcuts session at Adobe MAX.  One of the things he suggested was to change the default Adjustment shortcuts from working directly on the layer, to instead create an Adjustment Layer.  So Ctrl L creates a Levels Adjustment layer, Ctrl M a Curves adjustment layer etc.  I have followed that, and most of his other suggestions, ever since. Would that be helpful?

Yes, I’ve also done that for years. In the beginning it bugged me a bit that I also had to hit Enter to OK the new adjustment layer, but now I’m used to it and don’t really think about it.
