Remove generative AI credit limits for paying Photoshop subscribers

Dear Adobe Photoshop Team,

I am a professional photographer and a paying Adobe customer. I have always been willing to pay for high-quality professional software, and I would like to continue using Photoshop.

However, I am increasingly disappointed with Adobe's generative AI credit policy.

Photoshop is already a subscription-based product. Despite paying for it every month, customers face additional usage limits on features such as Harmonize.

My current subscription includes only 25 generative credits per month. This is not enough to make regular professional use of AI features. It barely allows me to experiment with them.

My request is simple: Remove generative AI credit limits for paying Photoshop subscribers.

I am not asking for Photoshop to be free. I am asking Adobe to stop restricting access to its integrated AI tools for customers who already pay for the software.

I use Capture One for most of my photographic editing and other AI solutions for creative tasks. Photoshop is still an important part of my workflow, but Adobe's current policy makes it increasingly difficult to justify maintaining my subscription.

The competition is improving rapidly. Professional users now have more alternatives than ever before.

I would prefer to remain an Adobe customer, but if this policy continues, I will seriously consider leaving Photoshop altogether.

Adobe should focus on rewarding customer loyalty rather than making paying subscribers feel that every new feature comes with another restriction.

Please reconsider this policy and make generative AI features available without monthly credit limits as part of paid Photoshop subscriptions.

Sincerely,

@JohanElzenga is spot on. AI compute is incredibly expensive in terms of data centers and GPUs and electricity, and most likely it’s underpriced as it is. Companies like OpenAI and Anthropic are in fact burning vast amounts of money on it. The cost is much higher than the revenue. The whole business model is propped up on future expectations.

I do not use it and do not want to pay for your use.

Consider this. AI costs money, because training AI is expensive and because it runs on cloud servers. If Adobe would make it free for all Photoshop subscribers, then they would no doubt increase the base subscription price. So what you effectively are asking for, is that Photoshop subscribers who do not use AI, still pay for it and subsidize your AI use. I don’t think that would be fair. I think it is fair to ask AI users to pay for their use, but what I don’t think is right is that you have to take another subscription. Credits should be a simple purchase and should never expire, rather than a subscription.
