Request for 'Selection Brush Tool' Fill

Hi, I just wanted to share an idea I had for the 'Selection Brush Tool'. Often I find myself holding shift with the tool to create straight lines round the edges of the area I am trying to select and then 'colouring in' the shape I have created for my selection. Would it be possible to add a feature that filled in the area that has a selection on outline. If that makes sense. So for example if I drew a square with the selection tool I could CTRL + Shift click (or something similar) in the centre of the square to add the full square to my selection. I feel like this would make a lot of my work waaaay more efficient 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to read!

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible to illustrate what you mean?

What you describe sounds like using the Pen tool to create a Shape.

Which ver of PS are you using. If I understand your goal is to select a straight line w/o holding the Shift key. PS can already accomplish this. May have to help depending on complexity of the object you are trying to select?
