Request for smart objects to allow videos longer than 5 seconds

I was recently attempting to integrate a video into a mockup of a phone using a smart object and realized that the video would always cut off at 5 seconds, even though it was supposed to be 18 seconds. 

I was then told by the Adobe support team that rasterized layers, not smart layers, are the only layers that allow for videos greater than 5 seconds in length.

I think allowing the capability to have videos longer than 5 seconds in smart objects would be incredible. Let me know if you are with me!
