Please make sure the "Save as" function includes the option of .JPG without having to flatten your image first. I panel artwork for large format printing and this is an essential feature that exists in the normal version of photoshop, but is not available in the beta version. Ok, thanks

Direct save to jpeg (from layered or 16 bit files) was introduced in Photoshop CS5 in 2010. Prior to that it was not possible by any method.

Then Apple changed the rules. They removed the APIs that this function relied upon.

This forced Adobe's hand, and Save A Copy was the way they solved it. Later they came up with another workaround, available by checking "legacy save as" in preferences.

The big mistake Adobe made was to try to sell it as a "feature", instead of what it really was: an emergency rescue operation.

You either need to use Save As a Copy, or enable "Legacy Save As" in your Preferences/Settings > File Handling.

Otherwise Export As or Export > Save for Web (Legacy) – which wouldn't be suitable for LFP.
