Save over Presets, instead of Making New

Wherever Photoshop allows for the saving of Presets, can we please be allowed to "Save Over The Existing"?

It does seem counter-intuitive that there is no option to do so. Instead, you have to make a new one and then manage your old iterations (ie, delete them), you're left with a trail of redundant presets that you'll have to tidy up after yourself. 

The issue was originally raised by GordonShock in Discussions, when they were working with Lightroom Presets. I'm speaking from experience working with Brush Presets.
