Search and replace layer name

Hi, could this feature be implemented into photoshop?
I am noticing that I often have to rename layers when using other people's files or when I forget something and realise too late.
It would be great if I could search by name and/or select multiple layers and tell in one place how to rename them instead of going from one layer to the next one doing so many layers one by one.
I tried to use the Tab key, but that jumps inconsistently to random layers instead of the next one and with bigger files it takes ages to load the renaming.
I think this would be a very useful feature.
