Shortcut History

I believe this could be a helpful feature for all Adobe products, but I'll post it here.

I can't tell how many times I've been working and accidentally hit the wrong keys for a shortcut I was trying to do. For example, I might be trying to copy something and intend to hit Ctrl + C, but instead hit Ctrl +X.

Depending on the keys, this can completely change the functionality of the program. For instance, in Illustrator, at some point, I hit ctrl + shift + B and didn't realize it. I wasn't able to transform the shapes that I needed. But I had no clue I made that accident so I was perplexed why this was occurring. I then had to spend time trying to figure out what was wrong and how to fix it.

If there were a history of what shortcuts had been pushed, then it would be much easier to see what happened and how to correct it.

Either or! I don't care where it would go, just have those functions be tracked so I don't have to spend a bunch of time googling my issues trying to figure out what could be the issue.

Sorry, I misunderstood and you want to include View-related changes to record (in the History or separately)?

Maybe View-presets could be useful, especially if they could be connected to specific images.

That or just logging the changes. For instance, I recently accidentally clicked CTRL + ' when I was trying to hide some guidelines. I had no idea what I did or where to go to turn it off. If the history just logged 'Turned on Grid' or something similar, I at least know what happened and can figure out how to undo it. Currently, those shortcuts aren't logged so if something like that happens, there's no way of knowing what's going on and how to fix it. So it's not necessarily about logging the shortcuts themselves as much as logging the functions so you know what's going on in your project even if you had a slip of the fingers and hit the wrong key.

Or at least have something in the 'View' tab that shows recent changes to your view so if you were to make a mistake as I did, you could very easily undo it without having to put it into the History tab. Similar to how the 'Filter' tab will show you the last effect or two that you applied.

So it comes down to the History not just showing the steps but also (if applicable) the shortcuts that were used to trigger them?

That would seem like a considerable change in the way History works, but not impossible.

I know, hence why I would like to see something that shows those changes so if someone's finger accidentally clicks the wrong key it's recorded somewhere. Even a 'recent history' in the View tab would be nice so you can see what you've done on accident or if you want to see what settings you've turned on or off.

A shortcut that actually does something, as opposed to those that just change view/display options, will be recorded in History (for as many states back as you specified in preferences).

There are no functions in Photoshop specifically designed to correct user mistakes. That's basically your own responsibility.
