Suggestion: Make Adobe products affordable for small time users

There are many, many (potential) Photoshop users and users of other Adobe products for who a monthly subscription just isn't affordable. They simple don't use the products often enough for a $20 monthly subscription.

I estimate that for every heavy Adobe user (designers/photographers/etc. ) there are at least 50 users who love Adobe products but use it less than 10-15 hours a month. If Adobe would create a credit based payment system, where you pay, for example, $0.50 for 1 hour of product use, I believe many of them would start their favorite Adobe product(s) again. If only 10% of then spend $5 a month, Adobe would double their revenue from Adobe design products.

I, for one, would definitely start using Photoshop again if such a system would exist. I tried many alternatives, but nothing is as good and intuitive as Photoshop. And it would be far more fair as well. Right now, someone who uses Photoshop for 5 hours a month spends as much as a full time designer who uses it all day long. That's far from fair.

I hope Adobe will create something like this and gain back the enormous share of users it has lost since they started their subscription model.

Actually, the subscription model has been a spectacular success. The user base has exploded 2x - 3x since it was introduced ten years ago.

The reason is probably that the prohibiting entrance threshold has been eliminated.
