The new Gradient Tool is a big step backward

The old gradient tool was simple and very effective. 

 

It is incredibly frustrating as an artist teaching at a Digital art college, to have the ground shifting so radically with the "industry standard".   

 

How do I revert to the old version? 

 

If it ain't broke, don't fix.  Seriously.

    Hi @steffon32137553kmw8 you can revert back to the traditional/legacy version in the options bar at the top while using the Gradient tool:

    However I would encourage you to give this a fair shake when teaching - this is more inline with InDesign and Illustrator gradient tools. Different doesnt always mean better, but in this case it is a big improvement in non-destructive workflows.
