Thumbnail Previews for Photoshop Files

Why can't Adobe preview .psd files with thumbnails in PC File Explorer???

This slows down finding files so much!! And I don't want to have to open Bridge, so solve this; Bridge is too slow (memory hungry) and not intuitive enough. Blender can even preview .PSD files—they are not even an Adobe product, and it's free! They have figured it out. Why can't Adobe? What are we paying for?!?

Oh - there are third party codecs that will generate Explorer thumbnails, I think they're even free. I never bothered.

PSD thumbnails in Windows Explorer haven't been available since Photoshop 7.0 or so.

It's a strange story. Back then, Adobe and Microsoft could never agree on how to implement it, blaming each other, and this went on for a long time while they "worked on it". Then finally they both sort of said scr this, we can't waste any more time on this silly argument. And no one has seen a thumbnail since.

I don't really think about it anymore, it's just one of those things.

I do not think it's Adobe's fault; File Explorer is a Microsoft app, not Adobe's.
