Tracking Photoshop edits in Lightroom history

I am a user of Adobe Lightroom Classic (11.2 release). Periodically, I access Photoshop via the "Photo/Edit In" tab to make specific changes to photographs (e.g., filtering not available in Lightroom). Unfortunately, Photoshop changes are not tracked in the Lightroom history log.

My request is a simple one. When Photoshop is accessed via Lightroom and the Photoshop-edited image (typically a .tif file) is saved in Lightroom, the history log associated with the .tif file should show edits made in Lightroom as well as edits made in Photoshop.
