Turn off ICC when using Generate asset

I'm working on creating game assets, and I have been asked to save everything (PNGs) with the ICC turned off. I personally really like generating assets for our pipeline, and it speeds up my processes when it comes to exporting them as a batch with different sizes and versions. Unfortunately, Photoshop does not provide a direct option to disable ICC profiles for PNGs during asset generation.

And due to the ICC off requirement, I have to use a third party and extra steps just to remove the color profile. It's a poor work around and it would be amazing to have an option to turn off the ICC for generat assets, or even for the entire exporting process.

Why is it so hard to turn off, and would it be possible to add a button or command to keep it off for exports?

I'm going to have to test, however, the docs state that the default is to not include an ICC profile;

EDIT: I just tested in v2025 and it is on by default, I had to turn it off in the configuration settings, quit and restart Photoshop:

"embed-icc-profile": false,
