WebP-Direktspeicherfunktion

Hi, are you aware of the manual method that lets you create a backup of your prefs? reset Photoshop's preferences manually by dragging the preferences folder to the desktop. This way you can copy them back if it does not work: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Not yet, since it is not a high priority topic at the moment and I would not want to have to rearrange all tools on my monitors. 😉

I can't reproduce this issue using 26.3.0 on a Mac 13.7.3

Did you try resetting preferences?

It's the up to date version of Photoshop (v26.3.0) used on Windows 11 Pro v.10.0.22631

I put it into the "idea" fraction, since Adobe itself doesn't seem to see it as a bug.

It's about standard RGB TIFF files with transparency information (alpha channel) and 8 bit depth. I tried all possible ways to save the file (save as, save a copy, export, legacy save as) and none showed webp as an option. I already opened a ticket at Adobe. Their solution was the workaround wih psd. Ticket then has been closed.

What version/build? This must be in v2025 or the Beta, I don't remember it there in v2024, where I did a fair bit of work on a WebP batch processing script. P.S. This topic is marked as an "idea" when it sounds like it should be tagged as a "bug".

That doesn't sound right. Are the TIFF files RGB? What bit depth? Do they have alpha channels? Do you have Legacy Save As enabled in your File Handling preferences/settings or have you tried to Save a Copy?
