WHY DID YOU CHANGE ACTIONS???

The latest version of Photoshop has made Actions significantly less useful.

You can no longer go into the individual recorded steps and make changes to them after the Action has been created. Why would Adobe remove or break such a basic part of the Actions workflow?

The whole point of Actions is that you can record a process, then adjust specific steps without having to delete everything and record the entire Action again.

This update has made Actions more rigid, slower to work with, and much more frustrating for anyone processing large batches of files. Please restore the ability to open, edit, and modify individual Action steps.

You can still edit and re-record individual action steps. No functionality is lost, just a different interface.

    Hover and click the gear:

This is all part of the “modern user interface” that they’re currently rolling out dialog by dialog. You can revert to the old dialog in the fly-out menu.
