Would we ever have more non-destructive Photoshop with dynanic or "smart" masks?
We don't have any improvements in Photoshop layer system for a decade alredy. I wonder is it something that's considered set and finished and nothing extra to desire? And from now on it would only be all those AI toys I personally have zero use off.
Wouldn't it be cool if we have something like anchors from Substance Painter at least. A separate mask stacks . Smart masks being calculated on the fly from input of several layers . Maybe node based something complementing layer system.
I recently have a strong urge to abandone Photoshop and switch to Affinity Photo because its layer linking system , especially "pixel content" link and erase blending mode allowing to do dynamicly calculating mask stacks , as well as live filters altogether make it much more non-destructive than Photoshop.
