ability to copy text from transcript window

working as a doc editor, often need to pull quotes to put into a paper cut and it would be so much simpler if I could select and copy the text directly in the transcript window to paste outside of premiere. currently need to export the transcript, then find the sound bite I wanted, then copy and move it over. this takes a long time when working on long interviews to read back through the transcript instead of being able to copy it while the transcript is following the active monitior I am watching.

      Variation: Use ranged markers in transcript to export with the full transcript, or only export those sections. You can add markers and ranged markers in navigation mode in the transcript.

      Workaround: when you find a section, hit Enter to enter edit mode; then you can copy/paste just the text. When in navigation mode, copying is copying that part of the clip (video/audio) to paste in timeline.

      See this feature introduced in the Beta version last June. It’s not really intended for the type of paper cut you’re doing, but intriguing. For example, you could mark all the sections you want, in navigation mode. Sometimes it keeps playing when you mark, sometimes not. But click Create New Sequence, and it creates a new sequence with just the sections you marked - with the transcript to match. That transcript can be exported, and it is just what you selected.
