I know that UXP is a work in progress and the team is working hard at porting over all functionality from Extendscript. I’m just humbly submitting my vote for getting access to reading and changing the read/write status (formerly setLocked and getLocked in extendscript) of Production projects.  Thanks!

Hi Adobe Team,I am a professional editor working on long-form projects. I’m currently working on a 20-minute sequence that contains over 50-60 clips with the Warp Stabilizer effect applied.Every time I move these clips to a new timeline or nest them, the effect loses its analysis and displays the "New frame sizes; click Analyze" or "Analyze" banner. Manually clicking "Analyze" for 60 individual clips in the Effect Controls panel is an incredibly tedious and time-consuming process.I request the following features: Background Auto-Analysis: An option to let Premiere Pro automatically trigger the "Analyze" button in the background whenever a clip is moved or changed. Global Analyze Button: A single command (e.g., Sequence > Analyze All Warp Stabilizers) that triggers the analysis for every clip in the active timeline at once. This would significantly improve the workflow for editors dealing with high clip volumes. Thank you.

Currently all BINS are grey, but it would be super helpful if we could change the BIN color to anything we want. The “Label” color doesn’t do much for the BINS themselves. Yes, its that color what you put in the BIN, but for example, if my footage BIN for A-CAM was blue, my eye is drawn to that faster than the grey color and searching for that BIN. You could then lose the label color, as anything in that BIN would be that BIN color.

I would like to request a feature in Adobe Premiere for a rolling title tool that works well with large amounts of text. I am trying to do credit rolls for TV programs. These credit rolls are a fraction the size of feature film credits, but still. When the paragraph box becomes quite long, the UI becomes so sluggish, that if I wish to highlight a word to edit, delete, etc., it takes up to 5-seconds to just select. Then, when trying to type, the response from keyboard press to actual character appearing on-screen is so slow, it makes it very difficult to type. So, in a nutshell, the longer the text box, the slower the UI becomes.This is on a PC with 64GB of RAM i9-13900K, RTX 4090. I think it’s not the machine or config.Not to bring up the past, but the old “Title Tool” used to have no problems with this.This has been a working problem for me for years.A look at improvement on the Essential Graphics Tool would be greatly appreciated. Hi, guys. The porblem I've suffered for ages seems to bother no one but me since I've found no such posts here in the Community.There are keyframes in Premiere Pro and they have handles. In After effects if you hold the Shift key on your keyboard, the handles pin to the horizontal or diagonal position so in case of moving the Scale keyframe to interpolate it more gradually - that is ease in\out more - you don't go above or below the current value. In Premiere Pro the shift key does not work and whilst the position key is pinned to the lower part of the keyframe region and cannot be moved below it, the scale keyframes float as if not attached, see the video below. The handle goes up and down from its starting point once you move it to the left to make the ease "easier". And if you want it have the same value you keyframed it you either have to use a magnifying glass and a ruler or somehow bring it to the same level visually.Isn't there a chance Adobe will introdice some kind o

Currently, to open a bin, users need to double-click with the mouse, which can be time-consuming, especially when working on large projects with multiple bins.I propose the addition of a keyboard shortcut that allows users to open a bin in place, similar to how pressing the Enter key in File Explorer navigates inside a selected folder. This feature would streamline the workflow by providing a quick and easy way to access the contents of a bin without the need for repetitive mouse clicks.Implementing this enhancement would not only improve the user experience but also streamline the workflow for editors working on projects of with may bins. It would make navigating project bins more intuitive and efficient, ultimately enhancing productivity and user satisfaction.Thank you for considering this feature request. Captioning in Premiere is incredibly slow, cumbersome, buggy l, unintuitive and frankly just lagging behind all other apps.  I tested an NLE a random Redditor vibe coded and it did captioning better than Premiere. It's also insane that a slight change in captionih requires completely re rendering the timeline. It's just a mess and it needs to be better. 

It would be great if we could toggle off (and on) the grey window that shows source clip data in the timeline when the cursor hovers over a clip - it's un-necessary for me and gets in the way of editing when I'm using waveforms to identify the start & finish of words (which is incrediby frustrating!).   

Hi All,   Note: ONLY Windows version of Premiere Pro is suffering from the following:   Adobe, It would be AWESOME if "Dark Mode" was COMPLETELY dark, the current UI looks like it is half-baked and inconsistent. I spend a lot of hours creating videos, and this inconsistency is hurting my eyes. Photoshop looks way better but still suffers from the inconsistent theming as well (still have light dropdown menu)   Parts that need to be properly themed: 1) Title bars 2) Menus bar 3) Dropdown menus (both, the one under the Title bar and the one that appears when clicking the right mouse button) 4) Maybe I missed something too ???   My suggestion is to include TWO theming option: Light Theme And Dark Theme that will make the UI COMPLETELY dark

I am an editor based in China who primarily works on the final cut of films and TV series. I have been using Premiere Productions for many years and am very fond of it. However, Adobe faces many challenges in China. I would like to voice a common concern shared by most editors in our country and hope you can help us resolve it. We can’t even find a single place in China where we can buy genuine Adobe software; we have to go all the way to Hong Kong to purchase it. I find it unbelievable how Adobe has neglected us. In China, we are unable to access many Adobe features, such as Adobe Firefly and Frame.io. We hope you can help us gain access to these powerful tools. Currently we can patch the Track Output Channel Assignments on a track by track basis. We select the option in the track mixer for timeline track 1 and can assign this output. Then we need to close and do it again for timeline track 2, then close and do it again for track 3, etc. It would be great to create a matrix option where all tracks can be patched in a single matrix. The rows can be for the Mix Track Channel as it currently exists, but we should have a column for each timeline track, allowing us to patch all tracks in one simple place. For users like myself setting up workflows on large sports events, with nuerous deliverables, mostly featuring a 16 track output, this would save a huge amount of time.

In the timeline, clip labels (color bars and names) are currently shared between audio and video, with limited control over how they are displayed.In many workflows, especially interviews, the visual label is useful on video clips, but adds clutter on audio clips where the waveform is the primary focus.Requested improvements:Ability to independently toggle label visibility for audio and video clips Ability to reposition labels (top or bottom of clip) Option to customize label display behavior based on track type or user preference Ability to have waveforms draw above the labels when the track height allows?This would allow cleaner timelines, better waveform visibility, and more control over how information is presented while editing.Just one more little idea or option. Currently, the "Nudge Clip Selection Up/Down" keyboard shortcuts (Alt + Up/Down on Windows, Option + Up/Down on Mac) work perfectly for standard Audio and Video tracks. However, this functionality completely ignores the Subtitle/Caption track ecosystem.If an editor selects a caption segment and presses Alt + Up, nothing happens. To move a subtitle to a different caption track, editors must manually click and drag the clip with their mouse.This manual dragging introduces a significant risk of human error; it is incredibly easy to accidentally shift the clip horizontally on the timeline while dragging it up or down, instantly throwing the caption out of sync with the precise audio cues.why it matters?Accuracy and Sync Protection -  Using a keyboard shortcut ensures the clip moves strictly on the Y-axis (vertically). It is difficult to make very small moves on points in curves (and color wheels). Try moving a point up or down “a hair” without it going horizontal a smidge. Seems like I should be able to select a point and use my arrow keys to move it in small increments, option_arrow to move 5-10 points, like you can with values.Also, every curve below RBG I should be able to hit Shift to keep it locked vertically if I want to move it horizontally.Can we also add a setting to add numeric values to the curve grids?

I find I often have to add in captions because the Transcript missed dialogue or sounds that I need to add in. If I press the “Add new captions segment” + button in the Captions pane, sometimes it’s greyed out because there’s not enough space to add one before the next caption, and other times the one it creates will absorb the next caption to create one big caption, delete the text that was in that next one, and replace it with default text (this is very frustrating and I can’t see a time when this is useful).My feature request is: If there’s not enough room to put a default sized caption in the track before overriding the next one, just shrink the new caption to fill the space rather than absorbing the next one or greying out the button. 

Auto-transcribe and the creation of captions from these transcriptions are great features - but, I find myself spending a lot of time tidying up the way captions get split up, and then tweaking how they have been cut against the timeline. Point 1: I often need to combine many captions after they've been generated from a transcript. Premiere will often split a sentence up into 3 or more separate captions, and I have to manually 'combine' them afterwards, despite setting the max 72 characters, and 6 second duration (single line) in the caption window. Perhaps we could have the option to have a higher character count in this panel to begin with? Point 2: I spend a lot of time adjusting the captions to fit in with existing cuts in the timeline. Oftentimes, the auto-generated captions will cut from one to the next, anywhere from 1-10 frames either side of an existing cut in the video clips in my sequence - This is jarring for the viewer, as the scene changes and then 5-10 frames l

Every time I use the automated captions within Premiere I go in and line up the captions with the cuts that I've made to the clips. When the captions aren't lined up with the cuts it feels jarring when watching the playback. Wouldn't it be amazing if the captions just snapped to the edits automatically?

Dark mode and light mode follow the system, just like in Creative Cloud and Acrobat client applications.

Premiere Pro’s transcription system can struggle with proper names, non-English words, and repeated terms. In long-form projects, this can result in the same word being mis-transcribed many times, requiring manual correction throughout.For example, on a recent primarily English project the word "Amigos" was the title of a group of people and it was mentioned hundreds of times. Premiere Pro currently uses a built-in transcription system with limited flexibility. There is no option to connect or authenticate with external transcription services.This limits users who prefer or require different transcription models for accuracy, language support, or workflow integration.Requested improvement:Ability to connect to external transcription services (e.g., via login or API key) Option to choose which transcription service or model to use per project or sequenceAllowing users to select their preferred transcription service would improve accuracy, flexibility, and adaptability across different types of content.This is not to say there shouldn’t be the default transcription service that already exists, just other options might be nice. Premiere Pro already has Scene Edit Detection for video, but there is no equivalent way to detect and cut between different speakers in dialogue.In interview-driven projects, it would be extremely useful to apply a similar workflow to transcription or speaker detection, so editors could automatically add cuts when a new voice begins instead of manually finding each speaker change.Requested improvements:Automatic speaker detection (diarization) integrated into transcription Ability to add cuts at speaker changes, similar to Scene Edit Detection Option to group or label clips by speaker Option to place different speakers onto separate tracks automatically (for example, speaker 1 on V1/A1, speaker 2 on V2/A2) Optional color-coding of speakers in the timelineThese tools would make it much faster to structure interviews, separate speakers, and build rough cuts from dialogue.Thank you to the Adobe geniuses!Tom

When working with graphics in Premiere Pro, multiple elements often need to stay aligned while remaining on separate tracks. Especially with animations where different elements move based on audio cues or other pieces using transitions.While clips can be selected and moved together on the timeline, there is no persistent way to link or parent elements so they move together within the Program Monitor (canvas). This becomes especially limiting when adjusting position, scale, or layout of layered graphics.Requested improvements:Ability to link or parent graphic elements so their position/transform moves together in the canvas Maintain separate layers/tracks while allowing grouped movement Option to toggle linking on/off as neededThis would simplify working with layered graphics, titles, and composite layouts, and reduce the need for repeated manual adjustments.Thanks for considering this request.
